The Bride and Groom
Maura
C. Daffern and Terry R. Bretz
Maura
and Terry are a couple of DINK's (Double Income, No Kids)
who live in an old early 1900's house near the downtown core
of Toronto. They share their house with a fuzzy orange bundle
of fur named Spike
the Evil Kitty. Maura and Terry have known each other
since 1997, when Maura started working for the same company
as Terry. They started dating in 1998, bonding over their
shared trait of introversion. The illicit nature of their
workplace romance only added to the fun.
In the year 2001, after having acquired
said evil kitty as well as a wonderful home to live in, Terry
proposed to Maura at a wonderful restaurant in downtown Toronto.
After dessert was served, the lights dimmed, and Terry summed
up his courage and got down on one knee. He proposed, and
of course Maura said yes. The women at the table next to them
were screaming with excitement, but neither Maura nor Terry
noticed.
After a year of wedding planning, and several
changes of plans (originally, they had planned on a Caribbean
Beach wedding!), Maura and terry were wed on a beautiful day
in June, 2002.
